We here at Eyecare in Oakpark have a true love for family eye care. We strive to not only provide you and your family with a great eye exam experience but to also focus our attention on maximizing both the quality of your vision and your long-term eye health. We want you to have a great eye care and eyewear experience. We offer a comprehensive eye exam for all ages.

We specialize in Myopia control, focusing on preventing or slowing the progression of nearsightedness in children and teenagers through various techniques. We also specialize in orthokeratology, LASIK surgery consultations & referrals, digital eye strain, management of ocular disease, and dry eye.

    Dr. Pachler was born and raised in Mississauga. After graduating from Glenforest Secondary School he received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Waterloo in 1991. He then went on to study in the state of Florida and received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University in 1995. Dr. Pachler graduated with honours as a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honour Fraternity. At that time he also received his certificate in the Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease. After graduation, Dr. Pachler worked in Hamilton and St. Catharines before settling in Oakville in 1999. Enjoying the community to the fullest he decided to open his present full scope modern family practice in 2002. Dr. Pachler has three young children with his wife Mena and, when time permits, enjoys playing golf.

    Dr. Pachler is a member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists and Canadian Association of Optometrists. He has extensive experience with patients of all age groups and has made sure his practice is exceptionally child friendly even for the youngest of ages.

    The entrance to Dr Pachler's office is quiet and unassuming. It is a small front and just says OPTOMETRIST. I walked by it many times on the way to the little bakery a few doors away. I stepped in one day after being frustrated with finding the right shape of spectacles for myself. I was amazed at the large space inside and the even larger hearts of the people that work there. In my almost 30 years of using glasses, this is the first place that did an astounding job in finding the right fit and shape for my face - a huge thank you to Donna and Mena. Dr Pachler also did a thorough eye test for me and figured out a few details about my eyesight that my previous optometrist missed. Highly recommended. I think I'll be using their services for quite a while.

    This is kind of a long story will make it as short as possible! I had some glasses previously made at Next Optical in Oakville. Immediately upon receiving these glasses I knew something was off. I contacted the optician at Next optical and told the owner after a few weeks of adjustment that the glasses were still making me dizzy and even nauseous, in fact even my night vision was off. After multiple visits, and two visits to his optometrist, he told me that “I’m getting old and to learn to live with it” he literally said this! At the moment I accepted this. But after one year, on the advice of a good friend he recommended to me to get my eyes checked for a second opinion, and the recommendation was to see Dr Pachler. I set up an appointment, visit Dr Pachler and within about ten minutes Dr Pachler figures out that my prescription is wrong. He even proves it to me with some lenses he had with a simple test. After a year of thinking I am getting old and the potential of being ill with possibly something I don’t know (I thought maybe even brain tumours), Dr Pachler put me at ease that my eyes are fine and he’s confident that my glasses just have the wrong prescription. So I decide for Dr Pachler to order up some lenses for me. As soon as I received my new lenses, it was like a whole new world. Dr Pachler was able to fix the problem that the other optometrist could not. Dr Pachler was a professional from the minute I met him, he is extremely patient, as I had a lot to explain as you can see from my review. Again Dr Pachler was highly recommended from a friend who is also a Doctor. I feel fortunate I ended up in Dr Pachler’s clinic and would like to sincerely thank him for helping me out with an ongoing vision problem that he fixed with relative ease. From now on only Dr Pachler will be seeing my family and myself for eye care, in fact I wish I could give him a 10 star rating. If you can see Dr Pachler consider yourself lucky and fortunate because he is a darn good optometrist. Since getting my new glasses from Dr Pachler, my dizziness, headaches and nausea have decreased exponentially! Thank you Dr Pachler and to his team for your thorough and professional help! See you at my next eye examination!
